Biography:

From the heart of Scandinavia – Denmark - comes Kick The Kangaroo. With a pile of fine catchy pop-tunes and a lot of ambition Danish energy rockers are now reaching out for the rest of the world with their brand new album “Bits & Pieces” from which the first two singles “Last Kiss” and “Think About The Rain” already have made a huge impact with massive airplay on both National and commercial radio in Denmark.

4/5 of the band met in high school – a few already in kinder garden – and from day one it was clear that they all had the same dream. The fact that the band has been together for over 10 years shows in the power of the energy in both recording and live performances.

Kick The Kangaroo's music is based mainly on Australian and American guitar-rock/pop. Crystal-clear pop tunes, cool grooves, tasteful guitar riffs and to-die-for backing vocals make the band capable of hit almost any part of your body. We like to call it ACTIVE ROCK!!

First single #1 “down under”!
In Jan. 2002 the energetic slow rock track “I Would Do Anything” from the debut album “Sounds Like A Bad Joke (2000)” hit #1 on the Australian Satellite Music airplay chart. A second single will be out down under soon, followed by a promo/live tour in Melbourne and Sydney in Feb. 2003. Amongst others the band will play the Melbourne Int. Blues & Music Festival feat. major international acts.

Kangaroos on US movie soundtrack
”I Would Do Anything” is also featured in an American movie & soundtrack for the teenage comedy called Never Say...Nevermind. The film was out in Spring 2002 in more than 1500 theatres across the US. The soundtrack also features British super rockers Ash.

Danish Survivor TV-show was kicked….
Recently Kick The Kangaroo appeared on the 2001 final of the Danish Survivor TV-show (in Denmark called The Robinson Expedition). In a National live broadcast feat. The Corrs, Roxette, Andrew Strong and Swedish No. 1. act The Ark the Kangaroo boys played live in front of 12000 people and more than 1 million TV-viewers.

Just finished off a 2-week promo-tour in Australia the band is now touring Denmark and soon they will be playing in the rest of Scandinavia, Germany and USA.
